INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN SPECIALISED MARKETING MISSION (SMM) ON LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS & FOOD SECTORS IN-CONJUNCTION WITH “ALGIERS INTERNATIONAL FAIR 2015” ALGIERS, ALGERIA 27 MAY – 1 JUNE 2015

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is pleased to invite your company to participate in the “Specialised Marketing Mission (SMM) on lifestyle products and food sector in-conjunction with “Algiers International Fair 2015” which will be held in Algiers on 26 - 29 May 2014. This will be the first SMM organised by MATRADE to the country.

2. The objective of this programme is to promote Malaysian lifestyle products & food sector to Algeria besides providing a platform for Malaysian companies to establish business relationship with the local business communities. Participating companies will be involved in pre-arranged business meetings with potential importers from Algeria and also have the opportunity to display products and meet visitors at MATRADE’s promotional booth at the Algiers International Fair 2015. Industry visits will also be organised for participants.

3. Algeria is Malaysia’s second largest trading partner with North Africa countries. Malaysia’s total exports to Algeria has been increasingsince 2012. Last year total exports was recorded at RM475.2 million, an increased of 5.2% compared to 2013 (RM451.6 million). Among the potential products to be promoted for the SMM are office and home furniture, fashion apparels and footwear, gifts & stationery, confectionary & snack food and processed food.

4. Malaysian companies who are interested to participate in this event are required to register online at http://www.matrade.gov.my/en/malaysian-exporters/services-for-exporters/export-promotion/international-trade-events/138-specialised-marketing-mission, before 18 March 2015. The registration fee is RM800 per participant. 5. MATRADE will only process complete application with the registration fee mentioned above. Outcome of the application will be informed to all applicants within two weeks after the closing date. The participation fee is not refundable upon confirmation of your participation by MATRADE.

2015年东盟中小企业大会

ASEAN SME Conference 2015

马来西亚中小企业机构将于2015年5月27日至28日，假吉隆坡会展中心举办2015年东盟中小企业大会。这项活动，是首相拿督斯里纳吉配合马来西亚出任东盟2015年度主席国而举行的旗舰计划之一。

大会宗旨是研讨中小企业在东盟的成就、挑战及潜能，并提供一个平台，让东盟的中小企业了解在这个发展经济区域内的商机，提升对东盟内中小企业发展计划的醒觉。大会为与会者提供一个在东盟成员国之间拓展网络，交流意见及建立商业联系的机会。

敬请鼓励会员商家参加。报名费为每人RM350，60岁或以上的乐龄人士则每人RM100。谨此附上大会传单及报名表格供参考。报名截止日期为2015年3月30日。

SME Corp. Malaysia is organising the ASEAN SME Conference 2015 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 27th -28th May 2015. This initiative is one of the flagship programmes initiated by YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak in conjunction with Malaysia’s role as the Chairman of the ASEAN 2015.

The objective of this conference is to deliberate on the achievements, challenges and potential of SMEs in ASEAN, while providing a platform to further expose ASEAN SMEs to business opportunities within a progressive economic region and creating greater awareness about SME development initiatives in ASEAN. It provides an excellent opportunity to develop networks, to facilitate exchange of ideas and to establish business linkages among the ASEAN Member countries.

Members are encouraged to participate. Registration fee is RM350 per participant, or RM100 for senior citizen aged 60 years and above. Enclosed herewith the conference’s brochure and registration form for your reference. Closing date of registration is 30th March 2015.

侨务委员会“2015年侨商青年国际贸易研习会”

Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission’s 2015 International Trade Workshop for Overseas Chinese Young Entrepreneurs

侨务委员将于2015年5月4日至15日举办上述研习会，系统性培训侨商青年国际行销专才。课程包括国际贸易暨行销专业课程、经贸专题演讲、参访台湾杰出企业、文化创意产业以及拜会经贸事物机构等。

有意参加者年龄必须介于22岁至45岁，通晓中文，有意愿积极协助推销台湾产品至海外市场者。每间公司限定一人。

侨委会将承担参加者在台培训期间的膳宿、教材、师资及场地等学、杂费。参加者须自行承担往返交通费及书籍等个人费用。

行程表及报名表格请参阅附件。

有兴趣者请在最迟2015年3月6日之前，将填妥之报名表格及确认书提呈中总秘书处，以作处理。逾期呈交、资料不符或不齐全者恕不处理。敬请各属会将有关讯息传达予相关会员商家是盼。谨此函达。

Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission (OCAC) will be organising the 2015 International Trade Workshop for Overseas Chinese Young Entrepreneurs from 4th to 15th May 2015 with the objectives to provide systematical training on international marketing skill to young entrepreneurs. Programmes include professional courses and seminar on international trade and marketing skills, visit to Taiwan outstanding companies, creative cultural business and trade agencies.

Participants are those interested in actively promoting Taiwanese products, aged between 22 - 45 years old and have working knowledge in Mandarin. Each company can only send one participant.

OCAC will pay for accommodation, meals, course fee and administrative charges during the programme. Participants need to pay for their own return air fare, and other own expenses.

Please refer to attachments for itinerary and registration form.

Interested members are required to return the duly completed registration form to ACCCIM Secretariat before 6th March 2015 to facilitate arrangement. Submission without complete information or late submission will not be attended.

MATRADE will be organising ASEAN Business Forum 2015 at MATRADE Hall, Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur on 12 March 2015.

This event will be officiated by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI)

The objectives of this event are:

- to raise awareness on market opportunities and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC);

- increase knowledge of the Malaysian exporters on current issues in the markets of ASEAN countries concerned;

- acquire and share experiences with Malaysian companies that have been successful in ASEAN markets; and

- provide a platform for entrepreneurs to interact with export-related agencies in improving their knowledge on the latest trade information.

The programme will be divided into 2 sessions as follows:

- ASEAN Business Forum Session (10.00 am - 1.00 pm)

- Briefing & Consultation Session (2.00 - 5.00 pm)
