Invitation to attend seminar on "New Company Law's Impact on Your Business and Duties"
The Legal Affairs Committee of the ACCCIM is organising a Seminar on “New Company Law’s Impact on Your Business and Duties” on 16th August 2016 (Tuesday) at 9.00 am at Seng Peng Hall, Wisma Chinese Chamber, Kuala Lumpur. The seminar is co-organised by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) and Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI); and supported by the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and Bar Council Malaysia.
On 4th April 2016, the Government passed the Companies Bill 2015 which seeks to make an impact in improving internal controls, governance and corporate responsibility. The Companies Bill 2015 aims to replace the Companies Act 1965 which was enforced since 1966.
In view of the importance of the subject matter, this upcoming seminar aims at disseminating information on overview of the Companies Bill 2015, and to deliberate and solicit feedbacks on the impact of this new Company Law to businesses. Topics to be discussed include “Share Capital and Capital Maintenance” and “Director’s Duties” provisions in the Companies Bill 2015.
The seminar will be conducted in English. We are pleased to enclose the Tentative Programme and Registration Form for your reference.
