Revision on MDG Guidelines | Shortened on MDG Submission’s Period Effective on 1 April 2019
 
The Market Development Grant (MDG) was introduced in 2002 with the aims to support Malaysian exporters’ core expenses in promoting Malaysian products or services. The SMEs can apply for reimbursable grant up to RM200,000 for an eligible export promotion activities.
 
Kindly be informed that effective 1 April 2019, we have shortened the dateline for MDG’s submission in order to expedite the reimbursement process. 
 
MDG’s application:
 
 
i. Within 30 calendar days from the last date of the promotion activity for:  
 
· International Trade Fairs or Exhibitions held locally or overseas;
· Trade & Investment Missions (TIM) or Export Acceleration Missions (EAM);
· International Conferences held overseas.
 
ii. Within 30 calendar days from the first day of listing in Supermarkets, Hypermarkets, Retail Centres or Boutique Outlets located overseas.
 
Submission of reports by the organiser:
 
 
i. Trade fair or exhibition held in Malaysia - within 30 calendar days from the last date of the trade fair or exhibition (format of the report as in Annex 2).
 
ii. Trade & Investment Missions (TIM) or Export Acceleration Missions (EAM) - within 14 working days from the last date of the mission (format of the report is as in Annex 3).

2019年僑務委員會海外青商新創事業創業觀摩團
 
說明:
一、 為配合政府投資臺灣產業政策並結合海外青商力量,促進與臺灣產業績優廠商商機交流與技術合作,帶動投資及產業發展,並協輔青年創業,僑委會訂於本(2019)年7月29日(星期一)至8月2日(星期五)舉辦旨揭觀摩團活動。
 
二、 活動內容及遴邀方式如下:
 
(一) 活動內容:
 
1、 拜會臺灣經貿事務機關,促進青商瞭解臺灣新創事業政策及投資環境。
 
2、 產業參訪與交流:安排參訪3至6家有意與海外合作之新創事業或五加二產業創新計畫相關之臺灣績優企業,除實地參訪其營運,並由負責人或專人就經營實務及可合作投資項目與青商座談及商機交流。
 
3、 青商創業論壇:就創業必備條件及資源說明、政府如何協助青年創業、創業經驗分享等相關議題,邀請學者專家及臺灣青年企業家共同與會交流。
 
4、 創業商機媒合會:邀請至少15家臺灣優質新創事業廠商簡介該產業之特色及可引資、採購、代理或合作項目,媒促青年商與臺灣企業之商機交流、合作或創業。
 
5、 專題講座:辦理新創事業及創業相關議題講座,邀請相關產業之學者專家或企業人士向青商說明產業發展現況及特色。
 
(二) 邀請對象:年齡25歲至40歲之僑商青年,具備中文溝通能力,並有意投資臺灣新創團隊、與臺灣新創事業合作,或能協助臺灣新創事業拓銷至海外市場者或創業者(同一公司及同一家庭以1人為限)。
 
(三) 接待方式:
 
1、 參加團員自行負擔往返機票、相關交通費用及其他個人費用。
 
2、 僑委會負擔團員活動期間膳食、住宿、團體交通、參訪及保險(每人投保5天新臺幣200萬元之旅遊平安險附加20萬元醫療險)等費用。
 
3、 活動期間住宿2人1房(2床單人床,可依參加者需求自付差額代訂單人房),如需提前進住或延後退房,應事先提出申請,並視住宿飯店住房情形另行安排,相關費用由團員自理。
 
三、 請於本年4月5日將報名表送至本会秘书处;另請於接獲僑務委員會確認錄取後,再訂購機票。
 
四、 檢附遴薦表、報名須知及預訂日程表各乙份(如附件),本觀摩團預訂日程表為暫定行程,僑委會保留依實際執行情形調整之權利,另詳細日程表將俟核錄後另行通知。

Issues Encountered on Sales and Services Tax (SST)
 
我国政府于2018年9月实施销售和服务税(SST),以取代消费税(GST)。马来西亚中华总商会(中总)欲向商家了解及收集有关这项税务政策实行后,工商界所面对的课题或问题,以利与政府相关部门反映。
 
兹附上有关回馈表,有关意见及建议,请于2019年3月19日前呈交巴生中总秘书处,以利处理为盼。

The Malaysian Government has implemented the Sales and Services Tax (SST) w.e.f. September 2018 to replace the Goods and Services Tax (GST). ACCCIM would like to solicit inputs and feedback from businesses on issues and problems encountered on the implementation of SST so as to submit for discussion with to the relevant Government Ministry.
 
We are pleased to enclose the Response Form for your necessary action, members who have the relevant views and inputs, please submit to KCCCI Secretariat by 19th March 2019 for our further actions.

2019年咖啡技藝暨創業研習班
 
‌一、 為輔助僑胞研習咖啡技藝實作技術暨提升創業相關專業知識,以增進創業能力及事業經營實力,僑委會訂於本(2019)年6月24日至6月29日舉辦旨揭研習班,委由實踐大學承辦,師資均為臺灣業界名師及知名講座。
 
二、 活動內容及遴薦方式如下:
 
(一) 活動內容(全程計6天5夜):
 
1、 課程內容:包括咖啡烘焙、調製與裝飾實務課程、創業及經營管理實務課程、專題講座、企業參訪、綜合座談及成果展餐會等。
 
2、 其他:僑務簡介、僑胞卡及海外信用保證基金簡介、歡迎午宴等。
 
(二) 費用負擔方式:
 
1、 僑委會負擔學院研習期間之午餐、課程教材、師資、場地及材料等研習費用。
 
2、 學員自付費用:
 
(1) 僑居地往返臺灣之機票、抵臺後機場至報到(研習)地點及活動結束後至機場之往返交通費。
 
(2) 研習期間住宿費、晚餐費及其他個人費用;如需協助安排住宿,可洽由承辦單位協助代訂「城市商旅飯店-南東館」(安排2人1房,每人每晚新臺幣1,250元,眷屬不得隨同參加,如須單獨1人1房,每人每晚新臺幣2,500元)。
 
三、 請於本(2019)年3月20日前將報名表送本處轉僑委會辦理;另請於接獲本處確認錄取後,再訂購機票。
 
四、 檢附報名須知、日程表(草案)及報名表各乙份(如附件)。
